BrainDrill in 13 Languages: A Study App for Students Worldwide
By Imran Al-Ameen Adebayo · Founder of BrainDrill · 5 July 2026 · 4 min read

Understanding a hard concept is difficult enough without translating it in your head first. For millions of students, the language barrier is a study barrier. That is why BrainDrill now works in 13 languages across the entire app — and, for the first time, the AI tutor answers in your language too.
The 13 languages
Every menu, button, quiz and study tool now appears in the language you choose: English, French, Swahili, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Russian, Turkish, Hindi, Bengali, Indonesian and Chinese. Together these are the working languages of hundreds of millions of students across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas.
The AI tutor speaks your language
The biggest change is the tutor itself. Ask a question in French and you get a French explanation. Set the app to Swahili and your worked solutions come back in Swahili. The tutor replies in your selected language by default.
You are never locked in. If you write to the tutor in another language, it follows your lead for that message — so bilingual students can switch mid-conversation without touching a setting. Learn in the language you are most fluent in, and practise exam answers in the language your exam is set in.
How to set your language
- Pick your preferred language on the very first onboarding screen.
- Change it any time from Settings.
- The interface updates instantly — no reload, no re-login.
- The AI tutor adopts the new language for future answers.
Why this matters for studying
Learning science is clear that new material sticks better when it connects to what you already know — and nothing is more familiar than your first language. A student who reads a physics explanation in their strongest language spends their effort on the physics, not on the translation. That is the whole point: less friction between you and the idea.
BrainDrill was built to be a study app for students everywhere. Thirteen languages is a big step toward that — study in the language you think in, wherever in the world you are.
