Who I am
I'm a curious person by default. Somewhere along the way I got my hands on some powerful tools, and the question that wouldn't leave me alone was: what can I actually do with these? That question turned into a problem-solving habit — I notice things that don't seem right, take my time to research them properly, ask people for their honest opinions, and only then start building.
Why BrainDrill exists
As an engineering student, I watched myself and my coursemates juggle five apps to study one course: a chatbot in one tab, lecture PDFs in another, notes somewhere else, past questions in a group chat, and a calendar nobody checked. Worse — when we asked AI for help with calculations, it would give answers that sounded confident but were sometimes wrong, with no way to tell which was which.
So I built what was missing: one place where the AI tutor shows its work step-by-step and double-checks its own calculations, where your notes and documents turn into practice quizzes, where you can study live with friends, and where a leaderboard keeps you honest. The tools finally live where the studying happens.
How I build
I don't build in the dark. Every feature starts as a real annoyance — mine or another student's. I research it, gather opinions, build the simplest version that works, and then ship the prototype straight to real students so they can use it the same week. Watching what people actually do with it beats any plan on paper: their complaints and habits decide what gets fixed, what grows, and what gets thrown away. BrainDrill itself launched that way — live, imperfect, and improving every single day because real users are shaping it.
