Make a Quiz With the Exact Mix of MCQ and Theory You Want

Most quiz generators give you a pile of multiple-choice questions and call it revision. But real exams are rarely all MCQ — they mix quick objective questions with written theory that asks you to explain, derive and show working. BrainDrill's quiz generator now lets you build a quiz that matches, by setting the exact mix yourself.
Set the split, not just the total
Previously you picked a total number of questions and the app split it roughly in half. Now, in Mixed mode, you set the two counts directly: say 8 multiple-choice and 4 theory, and that is precisely what you get. Studying for a paper that is mostly written answers? Weight it toward theory. Drilling quick recall? Load up on MCQ.
Two kinds of question, two kinds of practice
- Multiple choice — four options, exactly one correct, auto-scored instantly with a short explanation of why the right answer is right.
- Theory — open-ended questions with a model answer and marking points. You answer by typing or by snapping a photo of your handwritten working, then self-check or let the AI grade it with examiner-style feedback.
Grounded in your own material
The generator reads the notes, lecture PDF or scanned handout you give it and writes questions grounded only in that text — it does not invent facts that are not in your material. Your lecturer's emphasis is what appears in your exam, so questions from your own material beat generic textbook ones.
Then study it your way
Once generated, a quiz can be played straight, turned into any of six study games, or published to your school's Quiz Library. It works in all 13 of BrainDrill's supported languages, and quiz generation is unlimited on every plan. Build the exact quiz your exam looks like — then practise it until it is easy.
